Convert U.S. Bank bank statement PDF to Excel

U.S. Bank deposit statements often read like a classic ledger: date, description, amount or separate withdrawal and deposit columns, and a balance. GetBankExcel clusters the text items by their vertical position, finds the header, and maps later words into those columns. Amounts can include commas, parentheses for negatives, or a leading minus. Those forms are all read as signed cents so a total does not depend on how the PDF drew the glyph.

After the rows are built, opening plus the signed amounts is compared with the ending balance. If the statement also prints a balance on each line, that chain is checked too. A pass means both checks held within one cent. A miss highlights the rows that broke the chain. You still decide whether a highlighted row is a parser mistake or a statement line you want to drop.

U.S. Bank has no role in this service. Uploading a statement does not link the account. The site stores a hash of the filename for your own history, not the transaction lines, and the history view never shows row contents. Delete the account when you want the user record, the ledger, and the Stripe customer link removed.

Questions

What appears in account history?

The date, a redacted filename label, the page count, and the status. Not the transactions and not the PDF.

Which decimals does CSV use?

Plain numbers such as 12.34, with a header row and ISO dates, so Excel or Google Sheets can sum them.
