Convert Citi bank statement PDF to Excel
Citi card statements usually recap a previous balance, payments, purchases, and a new balance, then list each posting underneath. GetBankExcel searches that summary for the opening and closing figures and builds rows from the transaction table. Positive purchases stay positive. A payment moves the balance the other way. The badge states the formula in words so you do not have to reverse-engineer the signs.

If a statement uses a period that crosses a year and prints dates without a year, the year is taken from that period. If the guess is wrong, the balance check is likely to fail, which is the signal to look at the PDF rather than trust the sheet.

How are years filled in?
If a row has only a month and day, the year is chosen so the date falls inside the statement period, including periods that cross December and January.
Where do pages come from?
