Credit card statement to Excel

Credit-card PDFs do not behave like checking accounts. A purchase usually prints as a positive charge because it increases the balance you owe, and a payment reduces that balance. GetBankExcel keeps those signs. The balance check for a card is opening plus charges minus payments, compared with the new balance. The badge says so explicitly, instead of forcing card activity through a deposit formula that would not add up.

The Excel file has two sheets. Transactions holds dates as real dates, amounts as numbers, a frozen header, and an autofilter. Summary records the opening and closing figures, the charge and payment totals, and whether the check passed. CSV is available from the same unlocked statement if you would rather import a flat file.

Preview does not require an account and does not spend pages. A scanned statement with no text layer is rejected with a short explanation and is not billed, unless you have configured an OCR provider. This tool is not a card issuer and does not link to a card account. Review every highlighted row before you use the workbook for budgeting or taxes. It is a conversion aid, not advice.

Questions

How is a card payment shown?

In the Credit column, with a negative Amount, because it lowers the balance. Purchases sit in Debit with a positive Amount.

What if the new balance does not match?

The badge switches to a review count and the rows that break the running balance are highlighted in the preview.
